A police helicopter hovered above the cemetery as an armed police convoy escorted the jewel thief to the cemetery where he has hidden his share of the £20m haul.

Danny Jones, 58, one of the Hatton Garden robbers, had complained in a letter to Sky News that his offer to reveal the hiding place had been ignored by Scotland Yard.
